In-Tank Jet Mixers for Efficient and Maintenance-Free Mixing

Applied Vacuum designs and supplies high-efficiency in-tank jet mixers that provide reliable, energy-saving agitation for a wide range of industrial applications. Using the Venturi principle, these mixers utilize motive fluid pressure to create a high-velocity jet that entrains and circulates tank contents—achieving thorough mixing without the need for moving parts, the venturi design creates a vacuum and sucks in 3-4 times the pumped volume which allows for smaller pumps to circulate large volumes of liquid.

Our jet mixing systems are ideal for use in chemical processing, water treatment, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and mining industries. Whether you need to suspend solids, blend liquids, or enhance chemical reactions, our in-tank jet mixers deliver consistent, low-maintenance performance.

Key Benefits of In-Tank Jet Mixers:

  • No moving parts inside the tank – reduced downtime and maintenance
  • Uniform mixing – eliminates dead zones and stratification
  • Easy to retrofit into existing tanks
  • Custom-engineered designs for tank size, fluid properties, and process needs
  • Available in a range of materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, and more

Typical Applications:

  • Chemical blending and dilution
  • Sludge re-suspension and solids suspension
  • pH adjustment and neutralization
  • Heat transfer and CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems
  • Mixing corrosive or hazardous liquids
  • Desilting of dams (prevent silt build-up) – this also allows for easier pumping of the fluid to another location.
  • Crude oil storage
  • Surge Tanks
  • Vessels where fluids are heated, mixers prevent cold spots

Applied Vacuum’s in-tank jet mixers offer a cost-effective alternative to mechanical agitators, with long service life and minimal operational risk. Each system is engineered to meet your specific process requirements and performance goals.
